Helping others

Along with my knitting and social networking I believe very strongly in helping others to achieve their dream goals.  Whether it be able join a group to become a strong networker which I believe is a ultimate way of becoming successful in what we do.  Making friends and sharing your ideas and helping each other with our different talents and skills.

There are many people out there who would love to be able learn how to do things but are too shy to come forward.  Even in the group we have people who are shy, like myself and we encourage each other to come out of our shells to enjoy the company of others.  It is good to have similar hobbies yet at the same time it is great to learn a new hobby and skill.

As a crafter living in Pevensey Bay, UK, I have recently started to meet up with a group of fellow crafters in the area as a way of getting people interested in having a craft fare in the local area so that we as crafters can show people what we are doing and at the same time encourage others who could be looking for a new hobby to come discuss with us our hobbies.  Hence the reason I do promote on my page things that I think are fun and useful to others.

I believe in learning as much as I can to help others too.

Here a few ideas to help you get started to understand how the network market works.  I know ti works because I am building one now for the benefit of others.  Join us in Pevensey Bay, Ocean View Cafe/Bakery on the 7th April at 10.30, we hold meetings each month in the hope of getting a fare together by the mid summer for people to enjoy.

Loom knitting

I have not done this type of knitting before but it does seem to look very similar to the cotton reel technique I learned as a child.

Here are some examples I have found today to learn a new technique or even enhance the once lost in time cotton reel adventure, I can still remember doing it and watching the cord appearing at the base of the cotton reel.  How many of you remember doing that at school?

Metal Art Work

I was browsing today for more art work which could be used to personalise my space.

I found these beautiful pieces which would be great in the space in front of my caravan on a trellis or even as a wall hanging.  I really do enjoy discovering the art and craftsman ship which is out in there.  When I find pieces I like I hope to be able share with others not only to hopefully sell, but also to let people know that the art of using our hands in a creative fashion is still alive and well in the lands.  There are many talented people about who have skills and knowledge to help beautify our spaces.  If you are not creative but would like pieces of art in your spaces you shop for them.  I try to help bring about the uniting of both the artist and the buyer.
